Can my learners take in pen and paper into the exam and do working out?

A pen and blank paper for working out are permitted for maths exams only. For remote exams, the blank paper needs to be clearly displayed to the camera during the room sweep at the beginning of the exam. For online and paper-based maths exams, the invigilator must check that the paper is blank before the exam starts. Blank paper is not permitted for English exams.
