Who is the Health and Social Care Foundation Apprenticeship aimed at?
The Health and Social Care Foundation Apprenticeship is a level 2 qualification designed for younger individuals who will benefit from a wide range of experiences. Typically, they must be 16-21 years of age.
The apprenticeship provides a mix of employability skills and behaviours, knowledge and technical skills, as well as associated English and maths skills. It combines hands-on experience with off-the-job training.
This apprenticeship will inform the next steps in an individual’s career. The typical progression routes will likely include employment or progression onto another skills product, such as a level 2 or 3 apprenticeship.
