The EPA Process

What is TQUK's process for taking apprentices through EPA?

Making the End-Point Assessment process as clean and efficient as possible is important to us here at TQUK. That's why we follow a simple process from gateway to certification.

1. Gateway. This is where it all gets started. Apprentice gateway evidence is submitted to us and our team reviews it within 24 hours. Submissions are either approved or we'll ask for more information.

2. Allocation. If the submission is approved, we keep things moving forwards at pace by allocating an assessor within 24 hours. Our team are experts in their field and perfectly placed to guide apprentices through their EPA.

3. Contact. Here's where everything is mapped out. End-Point Assessors make contact with the apprentice within five working days following gateway approval and an assessment planning meeting is arranged. The meeting provides a space for the apprentice to ask questions and feel at ease about the rest of the process.

4. Booking. During the assessment planning meeting the End-Point Assessor works with the apprentice to identify dates and times for all their EPA components. These dates are then added to our EPAPro online management system within 24 hours of the meeting taking place, so everyone involved knows what's happening and when.

5. Assessment. This is where it all comes together, with the apprentice and their End-Point Assessor meeting at the agreed times to work through the assessments.

6. Results. The most exciting part! The apprentice's performance is appraised and their results and detailed feedback are published on EPAPro in five working days.

7. Certification. It all ends with certification, which comes two weeks after the results are published to allow a timeframe for appeals. Please remember that we don't issue the certificates, only request them from the ESFA, who take care of dispatch.
