What is an e-certificate and how is it different to a physical one?

E-certificates are digital copies of learners’ certificates that can be stored on their phones or tablets, shared via email or uploaded without the need to scan a physical piece of paper. 

They also have the added advantage of helping us move towards a sustainable future by removing the need for paper certificates.
