End-Point Assessment

What is an assessment planning meeting (APM)?

Assessment planning meetings (APMs) are conducted between the apprentice and their End-Point Assessor (though employers and training providers can be present too in some cases).

The Assessor explains relevant information about the forthcoming assessments and provides the apprentice with the opportunity to ask questions. Typically, dates and times for the assessments are also discussed and the logistics worked out.

APMs can run for any length of time, but on average last for between 30 and 40 minutes. They are usually conducted through phone or via Microsoft Teams.
