Assessment

What does Centre Devised Assessment (CDA) mean?

Qualifications with internally set and marked assessment strategies require you to produce your own assessments. We call these Centre Devised Assessments (CDAs) because, well, they are devised by centres!

Internal assessment means that you, the centre, are responsible for designing and marking assessments against the specification for the qualification. It’s a great approach because it allows you the flexibility to adapt assessments to suit the context of your learners and pick and choose the methods you use.

It doesn’t mean you’re on your own though. We’ve got a crack team of assessment experts who can lend a hand, and we will check all of your CDAs before you use them to make doubly sure they do what they should.
