Whilst the content that needs to be assessed by the Functional Skills qualifications is set centrally by the Department for Education, each exam board that offers them is afforded some flexibility in how they structure their assessments. We have chosen to assess all of the maths content in one paper, split into two sections, as opposed to AQA's approach of two separate papers sat on the same day.
