How many times can a learner resit?

There is no limit on the number of attempts a learner can resit a Functional Skills exam, but there is a limit on how often they can. We release three live papers per assessment method in circulation at any time, meaning a learner can sit up to six exams every three months. There are three online exams and three paper exams released per cycle, meaning a learner will have to change their assessment method if they wish to sit more than three exams before new exams are released.
