Do TQUK qualifications expire?
Once a learner achieves their qualification they will be issued with a certificate. In most cases, this certificate will not expire. A certificate is more than a piece of paper: it’s a status, an achievement, and achievements don’t expire. Employers may have specific requirements for continuous professional development (CPD) to maintain the knowledge and skills but the certificate will always remain valid.
There are occasions where a certificate does have an expiry date for regulatory purposes. For example, the TQUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) can be used by employers to show that they meet the health and safety executive necessities for applying first aid in the workplace.
However, the HSE requires that these knowledge and skills stay up to date, so learners must undertake refresher training every three years. There will be an expiry date printed on your certificate as a reminder to refresh.
