Who will be involved in the gateway meeting and how will the location of my assessment be agreed for the Learning and Skills Assessor apprenticeship standard?

The meeting is a tri-party meeting consisting of the apprentice, the line manager, and the training provider. Within the gateway meeting, the following options will be discussed for the location of the assessment.

Remote - We use Microsoft Teams for the planning meeting and online assessment, so the apprentice should ensure they have downloaded this software and are familiar with how it works. A video conference between the apprentice and their End-Point Assessor is arranged. The session is recorded in full for further reference.

Face-to-Face - Where face-to-face assessments are required, they typically take place at the employer’s or training provider's premises, and the End-Point Assessor is in the room with the apprentice to conduct the assessment.
