General
Where does the situational judgement test for the Children, Young People and Families Manager standard take place and who is involved?
The situational judgement test (SJT) for the Children, Young People and Families Manager standard can be taken in-person, via a paper-based assessment, or remotely via online means. Paper-based assessments typically take place at the employer’s or training provider's premises, and an invigilator is in the room with the apprentice to invigilate while the exam is being completed.
The invigilator may be someone sent on behalf of the training provider or an End-Point Assessor allocated from TQUK if a face-to-face assessment has been requested.
We use an online exam platform for remote SJT assessments, so please ensure the apprentice has received all the relevant links to the exam at least 24 hours before their exam. The exam system will go through a series of checks to ensure that the learner's device and internet connection are appropriate for the exam. The remote exam allows learners to sit their assessments at any time, in any place, with TQUK remotely invigilating, input from centre staff is minimal, perhaps a little moral support for learners setting up their assessment, but we take it from there!
System support will always be available by phone or live chat during TQUK office hours (8.30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday), necessary checks are put in place to ensure compliance with exam conditions, and once the exam is complete, the recording is rapidly reviewed by a TQUK Invigilator before being sent off for marking.
