What happens if the apprentice fails the professional discussion for the Learning and Skills Teacher standard and needs to resit or re-take it?

If an apprentice fails any of the assessment components, they will be eligible for a resit or retake, at the apprentice's employer's discretion.

If an apprentice requires a resit or retake, the apprentice will be awarded a maximum EPA grade of pass.

Apprentices are not permitted to resit/retake in an attempt to achieve a higher grade.

All resits/retakes must be taken within 6 months of the EPA outcome notification, otherwise, the entire EPA must be retaken.

Resits are typically taken within 2 months of the EPA outcome notification, and retakes are typically taken within 4 months of the EPA outcome notification.
