What happens if the apprentice fails the competence interview for the Children, Young People and Families Manager standard and needs to resit or retake it?

If the apprentice fails any of the assessment components, they will be eligible for a resit or retake. A resit does not require further learning, whereas a retake does. A resit is typically taken within three months of the original fail notification, while a retake is typically taken within six months. If the apprentice fails the competence interview on the first attempt, the overall grade will be capped at a pass on the resit/retake.
