What are the gateway requirements for the Playworker apprenticeship standard?

The gateway process will only commence after a minimum of 12 months of starting the apprenticeship programme and for this apprenticeship standard, typically the apprentice will be on the programme for 18 months. Entering gateway is dependent on the employer and training provider confirming that the apprentice has developed all knowledge, skills and behaviours defined by the assessment plan.

Gateway requirements are as follows:

• Functional Skills in English and Maths must be achieved at Level 1 before entering gateway.

• Must complete safeguarding and evidence this.

• The apprentice must maintain and develop a portfolio which will include examples of their work throughout their apprenticeship.

• Photographic ID.

• TQUK Mapping and Tracking Form.
