What are the gateway requirements for the Hairdressing Professional apprenticeship standard?

The gateway process will only commence after a minimum of 12 months of starting the apprenticeship programme. Entering gateway is dependent on the employer and training provider confirming that the apprentice has developed all knowledge, skills and behaviours defined by the assessment plan.

Gateway requirements are as follows:

•Achieved English and maths qualifications.

•Achieved a level 2 diploma for hair professionals.

•Submit a portfolio of evidence containing 10 pieces of discrete evidence to support the professional discussion.

•Photographic ID.

•TQUK Mapping and Tracking Form.
