How is the knowledge test for the Early Years Educator standard graded?

The knowledge test is graded as fail, pass or distinction.

Scores of 30-39 points will be graded at a pass.

Scores of 40-50 points will be graded at a distinction.

Scores of 29 points or lower will be graded as a fail.

Once your knowledge test results are available, you and your training provider will be notified. For online tests, the results are issued within 48 hours, and for paper-based tests, they are issued within five working days of the exam being received at our TQUK office.
